Committees...
Each committee needs a chairperson or two
co-chairs. The chair or co-chairs are responsible for sending
reports to the board (monthly or when the committee is
active). The chair works as a liaison between themselves and
the general membership to come up with new ideas, answer questions
and clarify issues.

Social:
- Prepares raffle items for each meeting
- Plans for Provider Day Out in May
- Summer & Fall outings (if wanted) & Christmas
Party
- Makes items available to sell at Conferences

Conference:
- Keeps board informed of upcoming conferences
- Keeps membership informed of upcoming conferences
- Coordinates fundraising table at conferences
- Makes items to sell at conferences
|
Millard Days:
- Attends committee meetings
- Organize Family Fun & Safety Day activities
- Get volunteers to help with tables and activities
|
Legislative:
- Keep members informed of current legislation
- Coordinates letter and phone calls to support or oppose
- Keeps members informed of any food program changes
- Keep members informed to Title XX changes
|
Professional:
- Promote training opportunities
- MAP Provider of the Year nominations and presentation
- Week of the Young Child
- Provider Recognition Day
|
No one person is expected to complete all of these
duties. Whoever heads up the committee is encouraged to call
others in our group to see if they may wish to participate.
This will give everyone an opportunity to volunteer and increase
their chances of receiving funding for conferences, continuing
education or scholarships.
