Promote Professionalism and Quality Childcare within Home and Center
based facilities for the Millard and surrounding
areas. Founded: April
1995
Community Responsibility: MAP has taken
responsibility to promote child care providers training and support
in providing family care. We try to keep the public aware of
the value of quality child care through participation in;
Nebraska Family Child Care Association (NFCCA), National Association
for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ECCOA, Millard Days,
and many other community groups dedicated to
children.
Membership: Membership is open to
all providers in Millard and the surrounding areas. Information
sheets are completed by each
provider.
Dues: $25.00 per year due
in September of each year. Dues will be pro-rated
after January of each year to new members. These dues are
used for mailings, speaker fees, conferences, etc. A fee of
$5.00 will be charged to each non-member attending meetings where
in-service certificates are
provided.
Meetings: Meetings will be the
first Monday of the Month, except for July and January.
Meetings are held at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church from 6:30 p.m. to 8
p.m. St. Thomas Lutheran Church located at 17007 Q Street. In-service certificates require an evaluation form to be
filled out and turned in to the
secretary.
Newsletters: All members will receive a
monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed of upcoming events,
conference news, and all other information regarding child care
news. This updated information will also be available on our
web site.
Responsibilities: Referral
participation will require regular meeting attendance with
participation. Your name will remain on the website as your
current dues will retain your name on the
referral list.
Website: Our website is contracted by a third
party. Our website address is www.millardareaproviders.com. Any
additions or deletions need to be given to our contact coordinator
or website editor.
Officers: Officers are elected to two-year terms
on a rotating basis in May and begin their term in September.
This will give the newly elected officer two to three months with
the previous officer for a smooth transition. The
president-elect will be selected yearly. The past-president
becomes an advisory member of the Board for one year. The
treasurer, referral and website positions are selected in
odd years, while the secretary and newsletter positions are selected
in even years.

Revisions and

up-dated and amended at Board discretion. Each revision will be
